Time is not refundable

Time is the most precious of commodities. We all usually want more of it, but rarely get it. As William Penn said, “Time is what we want most of, but what we use worst”. Life is hectic and filled with all sorts of demands on a domestic, personal and professional level. How to ‘create’ or make more time for our family, ourselves, our business or our job is the $64,000 question that is rarely answered.

However, there is an answer and that is outsourcing. Outsourcing tasks, jobs and events that prevent you from having quality family or personal time, or jobs that prevent you from working on your business, not in your business, can easily be done by others, leaving you quality time for all the important things in life, including growing your business.

So, what and how do you outsource?

  • Firstly, you need to work out what tasks, you don’t actually need to do yourself- the time wasting tasks that can absorb so much of your time and have relatively little return for your precious time.

  • Secondly you need to find a company that offers professional services that you can rely on and want to develop a long term relationship with, because you need this business to be working for you and providing you with the time that you need for family for yourself and for your business.

You can’t magically create time, but you can use what you have more productively. Use someone else’s time to do the mundane, so you can use yours to do the magnificent.
