Ways to pamper Mum this Mother’s Day

This is your mum’s day. Spoiling, pampering and making her feel special is the order of the day. Here’s some ideas on how to do it:

Provide/ Make or go out for breakfast, lunch or dinner or the whole lot!

If you are a dab hand in the kitchen, you can do the cooking. Otherwise book a café or restaurant.

High teas

High tea has become popular. If your mum is into dainty sandwiches and pastries, cupcakes, scones with jam and cream and all things sugar and spice, High Tea will be a hit for her. As well as endless cups of tea or coffee, most venues will offer a glass of bubbles.

Make memories

Make a photo book of her favourite times and people.

She will love it. You can use various sites to make that a special book that she will love looking through again and again. Or if you don’t have time, to make a whole book, get your mum’s favourite photo and put it in a frame.

Pamper Basket

Mums usually pamper everyone else but themselves. This is your chance to pamper her for a change. Provide all the goodies you know she loves, but doesn’t indulge in herself. The list is endless – chocolates, body creams and lotions, spa vouchers, movie tickets, books, gift vouchers.

Cleaning and ironing

How many times has your mum cleaned the house, washed and ironed for you? Return the favour and the love by giving her a voucher for house cleaning or ironing. Or do it yourself.

Cooking

Your mum has cooked a million meals for you. Why not make some homemade meals for her that she can pop in the freezer? Or buy some pre prepared good quality meals that will give her a break from the endless cooking.

Time

For busy mums, time is of the essence. Time for themselves and relaxation is a rarity. Keep the kids busy for a few hours to give mum some time for herself
